Continued from post last night, Tom Padgett
appeared in the Orleans District Court at
8:30 AM. Case was held for second call.
Padgett was taken into custody by the
bailiff and placed in leg shackles and hand
cuffs and taken away to a holding cell.

An hour later, the Padgett Fugitive from
(in)Justice case was recalled. The prosecutor
reiterated the strong desire from the Kentucky
pro-cult prosecutor wanting Padgett held
without bail until the authorities arrived with
a Governor's Warrant for extradition. The
Massachusetts Judge saw this as unreasonable
and released Padgett with only a $1,000
bond posted as he observed the defendant's
demeanor was not a risk for flight from the
Commonwealth.

Padgett has until June 30, 2000 to determine
if he will return to Kentucky or fight
extradition.

Experts observing the 7 1/2 year litigation
being protracted by his scientologist ex-wife
both in civil and criminal proceedings, is
standard LRH/Co$ S.O.P. of legal harassment
and ruin policy.
