Ron Hubbard wrote way back in 1955;
"The law can be used very easily to harass,
and enough harassment......will generally be
sufficient to cause his[her] professional
decease. If possible, of course, ruin him
[her] utterly.

Accordingly, Co$ adherent Laura Padgett
continues with LRH's marching orders to
legally harass her ex husband and cult
defector Tom.  The newest round of
fairgaming of Tom Padgett, a declared
SP (and "asshole") by church executives,
will occur on May 15th, when pro-cult
prosecutor David Massamore has yet
another motion before the Hopkins
County Court in Kentucky, to incarcerate
(read "isolate") Padgett on trumped up
charges that he failed to return certain
required administrative court forms with
his and his lawyers' signatures on them
by a determined deadline of 4/24/00
postponed to 5/1/00.  The defense to
this on merit of facts will be easy as
the tracking # on the overnight envelope
proves the forms were received 10 days
in advance of the deadline.  The problem
is now, Padgett's Kentucky attorneys have
motioned the local court to withdraw as 
counsel of record.  The senior partner of
Mobley & Lloyd stated "they're a bunch of
MuthaF!?!ers down there" referring to the
judge, prosecutor, and Laura Padgett's
private lawyer all in Madisonville, a town
in the western part of the state a 3 hour
drive from Louisville and Lexington in
the central part of the state.  The junior
partner of the firm, Lloyd, states he has 
expressed concerns as various orders 
being "goofey, unconstitutional, and 
motivated by bruised egos of the political
legal players in the civil and criminal cases."
None-the-less they wanted out as it is too
ugly  and Padgett's financial resources
have been sucked dry.

This puts pettifoggers in an excellent position
to swoop down upon Tom like vulters
preying on a wounded animal without
protection and defense.  The kill is
eminent.  An order has been tendered by
Laura's criminal lawyer Massamore, to
have Tom be imprisoned for an undetermined
amount of time in the Hopkins County Jail.
Tom's lawyer brother John has written the
Judge in the case to appoint a public
defender for Tom.  However, folks in Kentucky
still view people from Massachusetts as
"damn yankees," a mentality leftover from
19th century, and thus Atty John Padgett's
plea for his brother's  welfare will probably
fall on deaf ears.  Judge Charlie Boteler,
the magistrate overseeing both civil and
criminal cases filed against cult defector
Tom, refuses to allow any lawyers outside
of the state of Kentucky to enter the cases
in Padgett's defense.  He has been a 
consistent facilitator of "good ole boy
railroading" called "hometown cook'n
law" in the southern states - see movie
"My Cousin Vinnie for a flavor of the venue!
